Join us for our acclaimed Concert Series: Saint Catharine Church proudly continues our wonderful series of musical and cultural events in 2017!
All Saint Catharine Concerts are free to the public unless otherwise noted. Freewill offering accepted.

May 21st, 3:30pm: Winner(s) of NJ Suburban Music Study Club Scholarship Competition.

June 4th 3pm: Dr. Nikita Fitenko from Catholic University, Washington DC, with guest Italian artists, Lucia Margherita Marino, principal clarinet with Turin Philharmonic and Turin Opera, and Tamara Bairo, principal viola player with Rai orchestra and Turin Philharmonic, in concert at Saint Catharine. Performance includes Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” Trio, K. 498 and Bruch Pieces for Clarinet, Viola, and Piano Op. 83.

June 11th, time TBD: Ancient Prayers for Our Time: Two Mass settings with string orchestra. Caritas Chamber Chorale, Barbara Sanderman, Director, with String Orchestra, Maria Ramsay, Concert Mistress.

July 16th, 7pm SONGS OF FAITH FESTIVAL featuring “Five for ONE, a contemporary Christian music group; CDA poetry winners from St. Catharine and St. Rose schools; Ocean Grove and St. Catharine Choirs with Dr. Cindy Bell, conductor and Dr. Jarred Tafaro, accompanist

August 6th, 3pm: Dr. Hendry Wijaya, President of New Jersey Music Teachers’ Association, performs solo piano repertoire.

October 1st, 3:30pm:   SMSC GRACE GIMBEL 2017 Young Artist Scholarship Winner KINGSTON HO, 15, violin Yevgeny Morozov, at the piano

To be re-scheduled: Dr. Nikita Fitenko, Professor of Piano, Catholic University of America. Performs Russian piano music including Tchaikovsky Op. 19 and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
